Butter cookies
Butter Cookies
(adapted & modified from 'The First Book of Baking for Beginners' by Carol)
Ingredients
100g butter
50g icing sugar
2 egg yolks
1tsp Vanilla essence
120g Plain flour
30g Cornflour
10g Milk powder
Method
1. Beat butter & icing sugar until slightly white in colour.
2. Add in egg yolks one at a time. Add in essence.
3. Add in sifted flour, cornflour & milk powder. Mix till combined.
4. Pipe the cookies & bake @ 180°C for 15mins.
Verdict: Buttery cookie which melts in your mouth. The original recipe calls for jam to be placed at the centre of the cookies. Silly me should have increase the amount of sugar since I am not using any jam~

Hahaha, you mean the Rabbit right? ;P
Love the hearts you put on the cookies. Very nice piping skills. Did you use a 1M tip?
我来吃饼啦,这个很香是吧?
Hey NEL,
I love the hearts too~. I'm not sure if it is call a 1M tip. But the tip is like a star shape :)
鲸鱼蓝蓝蓝,
还可以,如果甜多一点会更好. =)
very suitable for valentine's day too <3
Yeah, love melody. I bought a packet of hearts for V day baking. But I couldn't resist keeping it till Feb so I use them on off on my bakes now *^_^*
cathy! cant bake so i'll keep my fingers awake till drowsiness sets in. anyway, is so BEAUTIFUL!! i have a hard time with those piping! esp i attempt to bake melting moments ): ): ): psst, telepathy? i have a bottle of hearts and i put it on my melting moments. unlike yours, mine is to cover up for my poor piping skills. pass some piping skills to me! hahah
Jasmine,
Oh, I love melting moments too~ Practice makes perfect, do more piping then. There are more bloggers who pipe even better than me, let's 'Jia You' =)
