Banana cake

Banana cake is one of my favourite. Tat's what I will bake when I have excess bananas at home. I love the aroma of the bananas coming out from my oven. I guess my bananas are not over-riped yet, so the taste is not as strong compared to my previous banana cakes. I had also reduced the amount of sugar for this cake.
Packed some banana cakes for my hubby's colleagues tomorrow. Hope they like the cakes.

Lemon curd cheesecake

I had a left over lemon in my fridge. So, I decided to try baking lemon curd cheesecake. I love the refreshing lemon smell while grating the lemon zest. Oh ya, I added cocoa powder to the crushed biscuits this time too! Tat explained why the crust is dark brown in colour.
My verdict of the cheesecake: Thumbs up. I love the combination of cheesecake with a thin layer of lemon curd. It tastes even better when eaten the next day! *^_^*

Eggless chocolate cake

Ever since I started baking, I did not eat eggs as a side dish for my meals anymore. I would rather share my cakes & cookies to distribute the calories/cholestrol.... kekeke ;P
I guessed this cake should be slightly healthier since it is eggless? There is peanut butter sandwiched between the cake layers! *^_^*

Peanut butter cookies

If you love peanut butter, you will definitely love these peanut butter cookies. I really love the buttery taste of these cookies & it tasted exceptionally good when eaten warm.

Banana craze continues...

Hmm.... I used my left over bananas to make 2 other small cakes. 'Ta da'... bananas are not only found on top of the cake but also inside between the layers of the cake. Haben try it yet cos still chilling in fridge. Will try it 2nite with hubby when he's back home. *^_^*

Banana craze....

As promised, I will use my new bakeware more often. Since I had some bananas at home, I decided to bake 2 small banana chocolate pie. The combination of bananas & chocolate chips really taste good. The fillings are sweet & soft while the crust is slightly salty. I gobbled up my pie as soon as it came out from the oven & cooled down! Dun worry... I din finished up all, I did save a pie for my dear hubby! Kekeke.... *^_^*

Orange sponge cake

I had a fun day 'shopping' at Geylang Phoon Huat shop today. The shop was really big & had a wide range of baking stuffs compared to other outlets.

I set my eyes on a small cute round baking tin. I bought 2 of them, thinking that 2 tins will be just nice for my little microwave oven. I also bought a pack of whipping cream since the price is slightly cheaper than Giant/NTUC.

Guess what? To my horor, the bill total up to $42! OMG! I thought I saw the price tag shown on the shelf was $8+ per baking tin, how come the bill is so ex?! I went back to the shelf & realised the price $8+ was for something else instead! I approached the cashier & confirmed the price again as I couldn't find any tags for the tin on the shelf. Well... this cute little tin cost me $18+ per tin! That was even more ex than my similar but yet bigger tin @ home!

Ahh... so sad.. I really need to fully utilize my these 2 cute tins now. I made 2 small orange sponge cakes immediately when I reached home. They resembled a small doughnut when out of the tin, perfect for afternoon tea! *^_^*

Amercian Sour Cream Cheesecake

I simply love cheesecakes! Hmm... or should I say that I am a fan of cheese?

I had the cravings for cheesecake suddenly, so I purposely went to Giant after work to purchase the ingredients.

It was my 1st time trying a baked cheesecake (I made non-baked cheesecake usually) & guess what? My cheesecake turned out well & it was delicious! "Ta-da....." see the 3 distinguished layers? A biscuits layer at the bottom, cream cheese in the middle followed by a thin layer of sour cream on the top. Who say only Coffee Bean or Starbucks offer good cheesecakes? Homemade cheesecakes taste equally good & is economical. *^_^*
