Macarons

I tried baking some macarons with my silpat mat today. I always cannot get the right consistency of the batter & almost wanted to give up (I dun wan to waste ingredients).
I guessed today is my 'lucky' day? Hmm.. I was so glad that my macarons 'feet' appeared

halfway thru baking. But sad to say that I could only get most of the shells out with the remains still stuck to my silpat mat after cooling :~(
Anyway, I had filled up my macarons with tiramisu cream *^_^*

Advance Hapi Birthday to me... *^_^*

My birthday was actually 2 days away but I baked a tiramisu cake today in advance. *^_^*

Xmas Eve....

I wanted to bake a cake for my Xmas eve gathering 2molo. It was a nutty chocolate cake with XO added.. Everything was fine until i poured my chocolate ganache. Humph! It was too runny. I was so helpless as I dun have any more chopped chocolates at home! :~(
Hmm... I am still considering if I should bring my cake over although it looked slightly better after refrigerated. Since the cake is supposed to be eaten at nite & I sure the lightnings at the restaurant should be dim.. so I guessed no one would really scrutinize my cake huh? ;P

Kaya cake again

My kaya cake looked pale today as I use another green colouring. I also decreased the amount of sugar slightly. Nevertheless, the cake still tasted great! The sponge cake was very soft. *^_^*
